Local Feminist Clubs

Since 2023, Takatoat has supported the initiation and growth of Local Feminist Clubs across Jordan and the region. These clubs primarily engage young women, between the ages of 18 and 35 years old. We envision these clubs to be spaces for feminist knowledge exchange, reflection, and communal growth between women and girls in different localities. Self-led by coordinators from each club community, the clubs are designed to be spaces for reading, exchanging and discussing ideas and experiences, and creative expression on feminist thought and issues that touch the lives of women and girls. The themes reflected each respective group’s interests and level of background on feminist thought.
